President and Chief Executive Officer, Cogeco Inc. and Cogeco Communications Inc.
Frédéric Perron is President and Chief Executive Officer of Cogeco Inc. and of Cogeco Communications Inc.
Mr. Perron has served as President of Cogeco Connexion since September 2020. During his tenure, he successfully repositioned Cogeco’s Canadian broadband business by building a high-performing team, step-changing execution, accelerating customer growth, completing three important acquisitions, scaling a digital flanker brand, and expanding Cogeco’s high speed network.
Prior to joining Cogeco, Mr. Perron led T-Mobile’s consumer business in Poland, held executive roles at Vodafone in the UK and Czech Republic, and ran customer base management at Rogers Communications. He has a proven track record as a change agent with broad experience in broadband, wireless and the credit card industry across five countries leading marketing, sales, customer service, operations, digital, product, network, IT, and legal.
Mr. Perron has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and a Master’s degree in Management from Queen's University.
Senior Vice President, Growth Initiatives
Nancy Audette joined Cogeco in 2021, and is now Senior Vice President Growth Initiatives, leading our efforts on Wireless and flanker brands in both Canada and the US. She was previously Senior Vice President and General Manager, Consumer.
She has more than 25 years of experience in Québec and internationally. She previously served as Vice-President and General Manager of Fido Mobile for all Canada.
Ms. Audette also held senior management and executive roles in sales, marketing, operations, product and digital in several companies, including TC (Transcontinental) Media, Rogers and Microcell. Her expertise in telecommunications was also put to good use internationally for several years, specifically in Brazil, the Czech Republic and Morocco, with companies such as TIW.
Ms. Audette holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and another one in International Commerce.
Chief Operations Officer
In September 2024, Sean Brushett was appointed Chief Operations Officer. He was previously Vice President Customer and Technical Operations at Breezeline where he led customer care as well as the evolution and performance of the company’s network infrastructure to ensure that services were delivered reliably to our customers. He led plant modernization efforts as the company transitioned to the next generation of technology, including Fiber-to-the-Home. He also worked to ensure that construction, installation, dispatch, service, plant maintenance, and warehousing operations were contributing to an elevated customer experience.
Mr Brushett joined Breezeline in August 2020 as Region Director Operations (Mid-Atlantic). Previously, he was President of Tide Cleaners at P&G, Chief Revenue Officer at Buckeye Broadband, and held Regional VP roles with increasing responsibility for Comcast in Washington, Florida and Pennsylvania.
Mr Brushett holds a BA from Laurentian University and is a graduate of Yale University’s Global Executive Leadership Forum.
Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Affairs
Mr. Cowling joined Cogeco as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Affairs Officer in July 2024.
During his career, Mr. Cowling has acquired extensive experience in telecommunications, previously serving as Chief Legal Officer at Xplore and General Counsel at Shaw Communications. Prior to that, Mr. Cowling practiced M&A and securities law for ten years at Torys LLP and worked at the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (the CRTC) and Anderson Mori Tomotsune in Tokyo.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Lumine Group Inc. and the Board of Directors of America’s Communications Association (ACA).
Mr. Cowling holds a B.A. (McGill University), Juris Doctor (University of Toronto), and Master of Laws (Columbia University), as well as the ICD.D corporate governance designation.
Chief Technology and Information Officer
Mr. Dinesen joined Cogeco as Chief Technology and Information Officer in September 2023.
During his career, he has acquired extensive experience in broadband networks, information technologies, mobility and customer operations in Canada and the United States. He has held management roles at Xplornet, Canadian Tire and Bell Canada, among others, in addition, until recently, to his consulting work.
Mr. Dinesen holds a PhD in Chemical Physics from McGill University and an MBA from Queen's University.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Ms. Gillespie was named Chief Human Resources Officer in April 2022. She is a senior human resources professional with more than two decades of experience in various industries including telecommunications. She was Senior Vice President Human Resources and Communications at Weston Foods for over seven years, where she acted as the overall Senior Executive Lead of the Weston Foods Business Transformation Program. She has also worked as Human Resources Lead at Dupont and previously at Nortel in various marketing and corporate functions.
Ms. Gillespie holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario.
Chief Commercial Officer
Mike Henry joined Cogeco in August 2024 as Chief Commercial Officer. He is responsible for leading the sales and marketing, digital, brand, product and community relations teams of Cogeco's telecommunications business across Canada and the United States.
Mr. Henry has 30 years of leadership experience from the financial sector, leading pivotal transformations and overseeing value creation, while keeping customer experience at the forefront of the organizations he has served. He most recently held the position of Executive Vice-President Consumer Banking, Digital and Strategy at Home Trust. He previously held multiple executive roles at Scotiabank, including as Executive Vice-President and Chief Data Officer.
Mr. Henry holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, and has completed leadership programs at both Harvard Business School and Duke University. He also holds the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Senior Vice President, Transformation
Marie Ginette Lepage joined Cogeco in June 2019 and now holds the position of Senior Vice President Transformation. She is responsible for orchestrating and providing leadership to the overall transformation program aimed at framing the organizational key decisions for sustainable growth across the company. She was previously Senior Vice President, Mobile Strategy and Innovation and was responsible for developing and delivering the wireless strategy, creating business development partnerships and alliances, and identifying opportunities to develop new areas of growth.
Previously, Ms. Lepage was Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Mobile Solutions, at Stingray. She also worked for more than a decade at Videotron, where she held several executive roles. After managing Videotron’s mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) wireless service, she led one of the company’s most important strategic projects: the rollout of its mobile network. She also served as Vice President Product Development and as Vice President Broadcasting and Content. Prior to her service with Videotron, Ms. Lepage worked for several major companies, including Alcan, and Bell.
Ms. Lepage holds an MBA from HEC Montréal, a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations from Université de Montréal, and a university certification in corporate governance (ASC) from the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (College of Business Administrators) of Laval University.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Ouimet joined Cogeco in 2014 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Cogeco, he was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Enerkem Inc. He also served as Vice President, Corporate Development and Enterprise Risk Management at Gildan Activewear Inc. Mr. Ouimet worked for the previous ten years in various roles in the investment banking sector at Lazard Limited and at CIBC World Markets Inc. In addition, he currently serves as a board member of the Montreal General Hospital Foundation and of Collège Durocher Saint-Lambert.
Mr. Ouimet holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McGill University and a Diploma in Accountancy from Concordia University. He is a Fellow Chartered Professional Accountant (FCPA).
